How to subscribe with an RSS feed reader

For 2024 the RSS feed shows the first 500 characters from the last 10 posts.

Major browsers have dropped support for RSS but some folks have found ways to keep using it to stay up to date on new posts using browser extensions, feed tracking websites or other applications.

iN8sWoRLd generates an RSS feed at in8sworld.net/blog.rss. Visiting that link in a browser without feed support may download a file or generate a wall of essentially unreadable text. To use RSS you'll need some kind of additional software.

Some options for using RSS feeds include:

  • LiveMarks is what I use in Firefox.
  • RSS Feed Reader exists for Chrome but I haven't used it
  • Feedly gained half a million users when Google shut down Google Reader (which I was using happily for some time). I chose not to migrate to Feedly, but others I know have done and say its good.
  • NewsBlur looks interesting, but again haven't tried it.

There are a lot more, just search for "RSS reader"!
